Each of the above listed programs combine on-the-job training with classroom instruction that focuses on both an introduction to a skilled trade and the devlopment of professional skills. Each program is designed for juniors in high school with an opportunity to move into an apprenticeship program.
Spring
Be among a select group of high school Juniors Learn the electrical, carpentry, sheet metal and HVAC professions, safety training and industry regulations Get paid to learn and work
Summer
Work with a local companies Take workshops to improve your skills Learn and continue to earn while at work and in classroom training sessions!
Senior High School Year
Work part time Share your experiences and workplace skills with the other trainees Get high school credits for being in the program Watch your pay continue to grow!
After Graduation
You have a job! Now eligible to work full time an apprenticeship program You earn special consideration to enter each Apprenticeship Program
Eligibility
Currently a junior entering your senior year in Fall Possess a valid WA driver’s license and reliable transportation Are maintaining a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better Have Algebra 1 completed before graduation Have enough credits to enroll in a Work Based Learning program at your school and all applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
